Abstract

Introduction: Anterior cruciate ligament injury is the most common knee ligament injury during exercise. The aim of this study was the effect of close kinetic chain on lower extremity function in football players Following Anterior Cruciate Ligament Surgery.

Methods: This study was a quasi-experimental study, in which 22 people with anterior cruciate ligament rupture located in Ahvaz, 11 in the experimental group (with close kinetic chain exercises) and 11 in the control group (without close kinetic chain exercises) were randomly selected. Closed). The mean height 174.17 6 1.58 cm, weight69.5 57 4.57 kg and age22.4 ± 2.05 years in the experimental group were,, respectively, and in the control group were 17.13 4 4.32 cm, respectively. , 6.20 was 70.43 kg and 8.52 was 22.1. The performance of the two groups was measured by shuttle run test, figure of eight hop test, side to side hop test and agility hop test in the pre-test and post-test. The intervention group performed close kinetic chainexercises (side lunge, squat ply, bridging, walking backwards, front lounge, squat and plank) for 6 weeks and 3 sessions per week (for 35 minutes). No intervention was performed in the control group. For data analysis, statistical method of analysis of variance with repeated measures and independent t-test were used for comparison between the two groups at a significance level of p≤0.05.

Results: The results of this study showed that in the pre-test, no significant difference was observed between the two groups in the functional tests of shuttle run test, figure of eight hop test, side to side hop test and agility hop test (P≤0.05). ). On the other hand, the analysis of variance test with repeated measures of this study showed that the experimental group in shuttle run test, figure of eight hop test, side to side hop test and figure of eight hop test after close kinetic chainmotion performed better (p≤05). Also, the results of Bonferroni post hoc test showed that the experimental group in the mentioned tests, both immediately after using the closed kintetic chain exercises and within one month after the exercises, their performance in the mentioned tests improved (p ≤).

Conclusion: According to the results of the study, the close kinetic chaintraining method can be used to increase the performance of people with anterior cruciate ligament rupture
