The effectiveness of homeopathic voice therapy on improving auditory skills and reducing the severity of stuttering in children with stuttering

Abstract

Background: Stuttering a language as a communication disorder can lead to serious interpersonal problems and affect the quality of life of the affected person and can be recognized as a behavioral change. ThereforeThe aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of of Hemi-sync therapy on hearing loss and improving stuttering in children. The research is semi-experimental and pre-test and post-test without control group. Method: The research design was semi-experimental (pre-test-posttest-control test without control group), a research population of children suffering from stuttering in primary school in Tehran The research population of children with stuttering disorders in elementary school. Available for sampling is and among the population of 10 children who use the tools Hypersensitivity To Sound/Noise(H/N) and using a high sensitivity hearing bad (APD) were detected were selected as sample and were then treated Hemi-sync therapy During the three months that includes 12 sessions (one session per week), respectively. The data was collected through questionnaire and hearing bad Hypersensitivity To Sound/Noise(H/N) was collected and analyzed using paired t test. And statistical analysis was performed using SPSS version 20. Results: The results showed that Hemi-sync therapy on hearing problems and hearing loss, thus increasing the hearing skills had a significant effect. It seems hemi sync hearing and can reduce problems in stuttering children.

Conclusion: Due to the fact that stuttering children experience specific anxiety in social interactions and is one of the reasons for hearing impairment, so increasing this skill with the method of healing therapy can be one of the axes Intervention and rehabilitation.
